Direct Relief International
Direct Relief International is able to accomplish so much because of their partnerships with corporations. These print materials are intended to both celebrate the support partners have given DRI and encourage other companies to get involved with Direct Reliefs efforts to save lives in disaster areas around the world. They also communicate DRI's mission to a broad audience that is engaged already and will hopefully spread the word via their own word of mouth.

THE BARK BUS
The Bark Bus provides active doggy day care and boarding. They take school buses full of dogs to the local beaches, hiking trails, etc.

The creative brief for this company called for a look that was simple, vibrant, cheerful, and easy to understand as it went by on a bus.

I did my best to design them a logo that could function well in small print form and as a "sign" on the side of a bus. The colors stand out, everything's easy to read, and the mix of cards and documents that they needed are easy to distinguish at a busy glance.

JUBILEE CHURCH
I must have designed dozens of print items for Jubilee. The churches brand is "alive and fruitful" and they intentionally play up the fact that they are a long time member of the community in Goleta "the Good Land". Here is a booklet for a class on the development of the Biblical canon, three posters for various events, invitation post cards, their stationary and business cards.

CAHOKIA MOUNDS PARK
Cahokia was a pre-Columbian city the size of London across the river from modern St Louis, MO. I created a booklet from a National Geographic article for the park with some post cards and a poster. Rather than make them look "parky" I wanted to apply a modernist/brutalist take to a very old site.

SCHOENBERG CENTER SBCC
T-Shirt That Travels the World Program
Though I made some flyers and tri-folds for this client, the primary job was laying out a 90 page text book for high school students about the logistics involved in creating a t-shirt.

This was a very complex task that required building several different InDesign templates and a lot of revision and editing. The visual flow between the main text, note sections and "extras" had to be mapped out and cultivated. I also had to create a lot of infographics and icons and test various font families to differentiate sections.

The end result came out playful but clean and well organized. A solid educational tool.

VARIOUS PROJECTS
I have designed a lot of print materials over the years. Here's a sample.

Price tags and a line sheet for a t-shirt company called HumanDignitees (I know.)

A two sided trade show sheet extolling the virtues of Pura Stainless water bottle.

And the complete printed branding set for Izzys Tacos. A taco cart that would travel to central coast motocross and BMX events and sell tacos to hungry fans. They needed menus, bags, boxes, menu boards, business cards and various promo materials. I also designed their logo.
